“I am a pedicurist at a large Spa and noticed that one of my clients was in very good shape. She was not only toned, but she also had a very “tight body.” I asked if she did Pilates Exercises and she said no. She said that she has been doing Callanetics exercises for many years. I have never thought of myself as being very overweight, but always felt that I would like a smaller waist and tummy. My client gave me one of her Callanetics videos and I began doing the exercises every day. Although I was a little sore at first, I felt great after I exercised. After I did the exercises for eleven straight days, I found that I could get into a size 6 pair of slacks. I had been wearing a size 8 for years. I told my friend that I no longer had pain in my neck and back from my job and that I was going to do the Callanetics Exercises for the rest of my life.  I feel energized every time I do the Callantics exercises and my body feels much stronger. I have continued to do the exercises every day and am now in a size 4 slack. It’s great not having to worry about the pain I had at the end of each day at work.

My friends keep asking me what I am doing because I look so much smaller and toned. They have not heard of the Callanetics exercises, but I told them that new videos would be out soon.

“My name is Karen Oliver. I am 30 years of age and I came down 2 dress sizes and lost 15" with Callanetics.

Callanetics transformed my body shape in just 20 hours. I use to be a professional dancer and even then I was never happy with my body so I would have to workout at the gym. I never liked working out–I found it boring spending hours at the gym lifting weights, running on the treadmill, getting hot and sweaty and the next day I would have a sore back and knees. I found that no matter what I did in the gym, the areas I worked on just kept getting bigger and bigger. My arms and legs became so muscular and even though my thighs have always been bulky, I began to have trouble getting trousers to fit.

That was until I started Callanetics.

After my first class I absolutely loved it and I know then that I had found an exercise that I was going to enjoy. After three classes my posture changed. I felt I was standing taller. I noticed a difference when I was driving too. I was no longer slouching when I was sitting down or driving my car. An extra benefit was that my back no linger ached like it used to when my posture was bad. I also felt tighter and more toned after just a few classes. I couldn’t believe how amazing my body felt and no more aches and pains in my back and knees–and that was after just 20 classes.

So after just 20 classes I came down 2 dress sizes and lost 15". I love what Callanetics has done for my body. I now have long slender toned muscles and no longer have problems getting pants to fit around my thighs.

I’ve been teaching Callanetics for nearly three years now and I have loved every minute of it. I really enjoy watching peoples body shapes changing because it’s a great feeling helping women achieve the body they have always dreamed of.”

Age 35

“I am 35 years old and have had two children and was fortunate to be able to get most of my shape back without exercising. I think I took after my mother. However, there was a little bit of extra “fat” around my abdomen that I could never get rid of. My friend mentioned Callanetics exercises to me and ended up making a bet with me. She said that she would guarantee at least ¾" loss in my abdomen and in my waist and midriff if I did the exercises every day for a week. If I did not see the results she would take me out to a fabulous dinner. She lent me her Callanetics exercise tape to use. The exercises were so powerful that I could only do a few of the stomach exercises the first day. After five days, my husband noticed how my body was changing and I measured myself. I had lost an inch in my abdomen, waist and midriff–each.

Although I was a size 6 and am now a size 4, I plan to keep exercising until I can wear a size 0. I always wanted to see if I could get there, but never thought it was possible. I know I can now with the Callanetics exercises. I’ll keep you posted.”

“When I was twelve years old, my mother came down the stairs and drew in a quick breth and said, 'Oh my dear, you have a figure fault.' For a thin person, I had very large saddlebags. I had been very active and athletic as a young kid but developed back pain by the age of 17 and discontinued exercising. My mother introduced me to Callanetics exercises at the age of 32 and I began doing the exercises consistently 3 times per week. I was deconditioned as I hadn’t done any exercise for 15 years due to chronic back pain. I found that I strengthened fast, my back pain lessened and I began to lose inches rapidly. I maintained my same weight. However, within the first 25 hours of Callanetics exercises I lost 9¾" overall. I reduced my waist by 2¾", my abdomen by 3¼" and my hips by 3¾" and gained an inch in my height. “I received the Callanetics exercise book from my mother during my freshman year at Vassar College. She asked me to check out the exercises in the book because her friend had recommended it to her. My mother and I had always battled saddlebags and now exercise program had ever seemed to change the shape of our legs. This one claimed to do just that, among other things. I was taking ballet classes at the time–and still my body was not changing shape. I had access to a ballet bar and began doing the exercises on my own and felt results right away–and saw changes in the shape of my legs and in my waist and arms in a few classes. I did measure myself at that time and my clothes began to fit better. I remember losing a dress size almost right away but the most amazing thing was that for the first time in my life, my body was contouring. I told my mother these exercises would be great for her because they were so gentle–she was recovering from back surgery. She started the program soon and has a story of her own to tell…

I became a Callanetics devotee and used the exercises on and off over the years whenever I needed to tone up quickly. Most recently after the birth of my second, I know it was time to exercise “for real” again, although I did not want to go on a restrictive diet. I decided to change my eating habits and start Callanetics on a regular schedule. I exercised between two and three times a week and began to lose approximately one dress size each month, going from a size 20 to a size 12 in 15 months. And, I felt great. The wonderful thing about the Callanetics exercises is that they can be done anywhere and at any time. You can do ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes at night or squeeze some in while your kids are playing on the floor nearby.”
