Method 1Callanetics Exercises: For Every Body

One word describes Callanetics exercises; unique. By isolating muscle groups and using tiny, precise (yet powerful) movements, Callanetics exercises tighten and reshape your body while increasing strength, flexibility and body alignment.

Reshape Your Life!

This program is so remarkably effective that just one hour of Callanetics exercises has the tightening and lifting value of 20 hours of aerobics. And, because The Callanetics Exercise Method involves deep muscle work, you won't experience the bouncing and jarring found in high-impact activities, such as aerobics or jogging. This means Callanetics students exercise safely and virtually injury-free. Men and women of all ages and fitness levels benefit from the classes. You will feel the difference in minutes and see dramatic results after just a few hours!

Method 2Who Can Do The Callanetics Exercise Method?

Anyone can do these exercises. Even people who consider themselves extremely uncoordinated gain control of their bodies. According to Callanetics Founder, Callan Pinckney, "Every person that has done The Callanetics Exercise Method, regardless of his or her age or condition, who has the determination to have a strong, fit, beautiful body, now has it."

About CardioCallanetics

There has never been a program so fast to improve muscle strength, flexibility and endurance as The Callanetics Exercise Method yet many of Callan’s fans who needed to lose weight or increase their cardiovascular fitness continued to ask her to develop a cardiovascular fitness method. In 1995 she began working with Sara Kooperman and Kathleen Horstmeyer to develop such a program. Her goals were to incorporate the ballet and yoga “meditation in motion” and body alignment concepts from her toning program without having any jumping or jarring she had experienced in other aerobics classes. With these principles in mind, The CardioCallanetics Exercise Program developed into a totally unique and innovative approach to cardiovascular fitness. This non-traditional interdisciplinary approach to cardiovascular health integrates Callan’s meditiation in motion as in The Callanetics Exercise Method, but in flowing continuous movements. Whereas music designed for traditional low impact aerobics is performed at 140-155 beats per minute (music beats not heart rate), CardioCallanetics music is designed at 110-118 beats per minute. The slower beats per minute of the music allows for larger and more controlled ranges of motion requiring the body to recruit more muscle fibers. More muscle fibers results in more calories burned.
